It’s hard to be a diamond in a rhinestone world.– Dolly Parton
I think I’ve got my business notions and my sense for that sort of thing from my dad. My dad never had a chance to go to school. He couldn’t read and write. But he was so smart. He was just one of those people that could just make the most of anything and everything that he had to work with. – Dolly Parton
I’m not going to limit myself just because people won’t accept the fact that I can do something else. – Dolly Parton
I’m old enough and cranky enough now that if someone tried to tell me what to do, I’d tell them where to put it – Dolly Parton
Today Dolly announced that she’ll no longer be associated with the planned water park in Nashville.
Dolly Parton explained in a statement: “Gaylord makes decisions that they feel are good for their company and their stockholders, and I have to make decisions based on what is best for me and the Dollywood Company… Governor Haslam, Mayor Dean, and all the folks in government have been great to work with. I really appreciate their support through this process. I think everyone knows I love Nashville, and I hope the work we’ve already done will spark more family entertainment in Nashville.”
It’s sad that it not longer will be a Dolly Parton water park in Nashville, but I trust her decisions.
What do you want Dolly do for Nashville?
