When did you begin to work professional as a photographer for celebrities?
I have been shooting celebs for over 12 years now. I started in Texas and moved to Los Angeles 11 years ago.
Andy Warhol is one of your influences; tell me how it was to meet him?
I met Andy because a friend worked for the newspaper in Dallas and he invited me to go along with him to interview the great Warhol. Andy was the nicest man and a dream come true!
Tell me about the day when you became a fan of Dolly…
I can still remember being a child and loving Dolly on her syndicated show in the 70‘s! I had just gotten my first car and I found a bumper sticker that said “I LOVE Dolly Parton” and I placed in on the bumper very proudly!
Why is Dolly special for you?
She is special because she is a one-of-kind artist and human being. There is no one even close to her in any way!!! She has touched my soul for decades now…that is special!
Do you have any dreams of meeting Dolly?
I have met her before a couple of times but I have dreams of working with her naturally!!!
Tell me about the day /days you met Dolly…
My first meeting with Dolly was a dream for sure…It was 1976 and I was visiting Hollywood on a school trip. We stayed at a hotel in Hollywood and when I got on the elevator Dolly Parton was in there and I about died!!! She was so nice and I was so star struck! She gave me her autograph on a small piece of notebook paper!!! I met her again in Nashville a few years later and she autographed an album for me.
You love all things about Dolly, have you worked with her too?
I have never had the opportunity so far but with the help of friends I hope to make this happen soon!!! Personal time is very important to Dolly so I would work fast and not waste any of her valuable time.
If not, how is your dream of working with this legend?
I just dream of photographing her more beautiful than she has ever been photographed before and that will be a challenge as she has been so beautiful for years!!
You run the blog amprofile.blogspot.com, which is really awesome, when will we see Dolly there?
As soon as it all works out and I would like that to be as soon as possible…
If you had the possibility to go out with Dolly, what would you do?
I would take her to her favorite Indian Restaurant in Los Angeles.
Do you have any more goals to make about your dreams?
Oh yes so many it’s hard to focus on just one but after I have my chance to work with Dolly I will have accomplished a lifetime goal!
